Starting next summer, the Czech-based RegioJet trains, which currently operate in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria, will no longer terminate in Vienna but will continue onwards with a direct service to Budapest. The new service will link Prague to Budapest via Vienna and Brno via a twice daily service. Continental Railway Solution will be responsible for operating the trains on Hungarian tracks, and RegioJet will remain responsible for business and customer service.
RegioJet has been operating daily bus services to Budapest for many years, but this represents a real leap forward for customers looking for a quicker and more comfortable journey into Hungary.
