Introduction

This beautiful city has retained an impressive sense of history and heritage that makes it a very popular place to inhabit or visit. The old city walls remain in place and show the differing sections of Derry as it has developed over the centuries. This old part of the city is located on the western banks of the River Foyle but as the city has grown, buildings have spread to the other banks of the river and beyond.
