Introduction
Dol is a town in western France, just inland from the Gulf of Saint-Malo (part of the south-westerly English Channel). Just off the N176 motorway (or European E401 route), it takes 45 minutes to reach the next major town, Rennes, by road.The railway station in Dol is well served by the French rail networks. There are direct, high-speed services to Paris Montparnasse in less than 3hrs, whilst Rennes can be reached in some cases in just 30mins.
