Introduction
Lying in central, northern Germany, Hannover is known for its trade shows and industry and as such is by necessity well connected to all the country's transport infrastructure. It boasts its own airport just to the north of the city, and is just off the main A7 and A2 motorways as well as A37 and A352.It is the railway station that provides the really outstanding transport connections in Hannover. Hannover Hauptbahnhof is a major rail hub and connects the ICE services running north to south from Hamburg to Munich with those that run west to east across Germany from Dortmund through to Berlin. This means that many major destinations are accessible by direct high-speed services.
