Introduction
The Rhine river runs alongside the German town of Kehl, and marks the natural border between Germany and France with Strasbourg just a couple of kilometres over the other side of the river. This proximity to Strasbourg makes also makes the airport the closest to Kehl, being just 23km away. Lying in south-western Germany, Kehl is just 10km off the main A5 motorway which runs north until it ends when it meets the A7 just north-east of Frankfurt.
