Introduction
Kiruna is Sweden’s northernmost city. It lies in the Lapland province, with under 20,000 inhabitants. Being such a place of natural beauty and tranquility, Kiruna is the perfect place for fans of fishing, hiking, rafting or hunting.The city is home to a mine, a church and different research centres, such as Abisko Scientific Research Station the Institute of Space Physics or Esrange. In winter, the Icehotel is a must see; a hotel made almost entirely of ice in Jukkasjarvi/Kiruna. It is set in stunning natural wilderness and attracts tourists from all over the world.
