Introduction
There are regular train services to most Polish cities, such as hourly trains to Warsaw (2.5 hour journey time); there also are numerous international services that go to cities such as Berlin (8.5 hours), Budapest (10 hours), Prague (8 hours), Hamburg, Lvov, Kiev or Odessa (June–September). Krakow’s railway station is well-served and is situated just outside the Old Town District.Krakow’s airport, John Paul II International Airport Kraków-Balice, is situated 11 km west of the city. There are direct train services between Kraków G?ówny train station and the airport every 15 minutes.
Public transport is well-organized, there is an efficient network of tramway and bus lines as well as local train services into the suburbs, so making local transport easy on arrival.
