Introduction
Nürburg lies on the western side of Germany near to the French border, less that 60km south-west of the former capital, Bonn. The A1 and A48 motorways both lie approximately 10 - 15km from central Nürburg, with Bundesstrassen (primary roads) making up the shortfall. International connections (aside from those which can be made by rail) are easy to reach via Frankfurt Hahn or Cologne-Bonn airports which are both under 100km away. The sleepy town that exists for most of the year doesn't actually have its own train station at all; those wishing to travel to the Nürburgring or to Nürburg itself by public transport will have to take a combination of buses and trains; the last leg usually being from Adenau to the Nürburgring. Check the Deutsche Bahn site for the most convenient connections for you particular time of day.
