Introduction
Rendsburg lies right in the centre of Germany's northern most tip and in its history has been tussled over by the Danes and the Germans on many occasions. Just off the A7 motorway trunk road which runs through from central Germany up to Denmark, the town is easily accessible by road as well reasonably so by air (Hamburg and Luebeck airports being approximately 1.5 hours away). Train connections are good, with Hamburg as a regional hub just over an hour away, and this station serving ICE trains throughout the country and beyond.
