Introduction
Saint Brieuc lies on the western side of France on the coastline along the English Channel, 100km north-west of Rennes. The town is passed by the N112 (or European route E50) which connects it to Morliax to the west, and Rennes and beyond that Paris 450km to the east.The Gare de Saint-Brieuc is well connected to the french railway network; there are direct, highspeed TGV services to Paris Montparnasse station with a travel time of just over 3hrs. At the other end of the high-speed line is Brest station, Brest being France's most westerly town. Standard services are frequent and link Saint Brieuc to destinations such as Morlaix, Laval and Evron.
Though there is an airport just outside Saint Brieuc, there are no regular passenger flights from there. The closest feasible airport is St Jacques Airport (Rennes) which is 90km away to the south-east. From here there are service to England, Ireland, Spain and Portugal as well as domestic french destinations.
