Introduction
Uelzen lies in northern Germany, equidistant to the south east of Hamburg and north east of Hannover. Although not directly connected to the motorway network, Uelzen is at a crossroads of some of Germany's main trunk roads and as such is very easy to reach by car or coach. The train station lies on a direct route to Hannover and Hamburg (each can be reached within 45 minutes). For these major northern stations, the whole country is easily accessible.
