Introduction
Wolfsburg lies east of Hannover in northern, central Germany. Hannover airport also serves Wolfburg, although there are no direct connections by public transport from the airport to Wolfsburg; you can take the S-Bahn to Hannover main station (15mins) and then the train from Hannover main station to Wolfsburg (1hr). Alternatively you can use one of the shuttle bus services (pre-booked shared taxi service) which will take you directly.The A39 motorway links Wolfburg to the main A7 motorway trunkroad, which runs the entire length of Germany from north to south. The city also lies on the main ICE high-speed train line from Berlin (1hr 15mins) to Frankfurt (3hrs). It also benefits from an InterCity line to Amsterdam, as well as numerous regional services.
