Leeds Festival
Twinned with a festival in Reading (both have the same line up on alternate days), the event has been running for almost 40 years now.
The city’s most famous event each year attracts visitors from all over the UK. Twinned with a festival in Reading (both have the same line up on alternate days), the event has been running for almost 40 years now, with a line-up that has stuck firmly to rock and indie, although a dance stage has also been added in recent years. As one of the largest festivals of its kind in Britain, expect top-selling performers to turn up, past headliners have included Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Killers, Rage Against the Machine and Radiohead. Most punters pitch up a tent and camp, but there are more luxurious options on offer too if you’re willing to fork out the cash.
