The Czech national theatre has become a symbol for the country's national identity and artistic creativity and has won it's place in the European cultural arena. Coming here is a unique opportunity to view the three different artistic ensembles of the Czech National Theatre; ballet, opera and drama can all be seen in this very special building as well as the sister buildings of the nearby Estates Theatre and the Kolowrat Theatre.

The National Theatre is closed in July and August for their annual theatrical holidays.
