Piccadilly Gardens
Picturesque square in Manchester's city centre
Piccadilly Gardens is Manchester's largest open inner city green space. It used to be the site of the Manchester Royal Infirmary that occupied the site at Piccadilly from 1752 to 1910 (it then moved to its current site on Oxford Road).Located just 5 minutes' walk from Manchester Piccadilly railway and 10 minutes walk from Manchester Victoria station, the square at Piccadilly Gardens is the central hub of Manchester's public transport system. The square and the picturesque gardens it contains are surrounded by large hotels, shops and restaurants, making it a popular destination for shoppers, business people, tourists and party-goers, day or night.
