Rainbow Ball
Vienna’s LGBT community have created their very own annual ball, with music from the 20s, 40s, and 80s
There is no shortage of classical music festivals and opera balls in Vienna, fitting given the city was the birthplace of Schubert and home to both Beethoven and Mozart. Vienna’s LGBT community have created their very own annual ball, where participants dance the night away to music from the 20s, 40s, and 80s, as well as more traditional waltzes, polka and even Latin salsa across the various floors of Vienna’s premiere ballroom. Don’t miss the special main act at midnight, and ensure you stick to the strict dress code of tuxedos and ballgowns. Profits go towards the annual Pride parade and the Homosexual Initiative. The host hotel, the Parkhotel Schoenbrunn, is around 100m from the U4 station 'Hietzing'.
